Sweet Chili Ribs

 These Sweet Chili ribs are so easy to make. They are sweet with the right amount of heat. And in addition to these delicious ribs, let me show you how to make a really easy dry rub for your ribs that will add even more flavors to this recipeThey're fall off the bone delicious! Plus they're versatile, you can serve them with sides like coleslaw or cornbread for a complete satisfying meal. 

Ingredients for dry rub

1tbps smoked paprika
1tbps cumin
1tbsp onion powder
1tbsp garlic powder
1tbsp dried oregano
1 tbsp salt
1tbsp black pepper
 

Ingredients for ribs

2 pounds pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
Dry rub (to taste)  
Ingredients for sweet chili sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon grated ginger (optional)
1 tablespoon Red pepper flakes
 Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
2. Drizzle olive oil over ribs, then season ribs with dry rub.
3. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, meat side up. Cover with another piece of foil to keep them moist. Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the ribs are tender.
4. In bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, ginger and red crushed peppers.
5. Once ribs are cooked, remove from oven and discard the top layer of foil. Brush a generous amount of the sweet chili sauce over the ribs.
6. Switch the oven to broil and place the ribs back in for about 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbly and caramelized. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning.
7. Remove from oven and let the ribs rest for a few minutes. Cut into portions and serve hot. Drizzle more sauce if desired. Enjoy!
